Valentine’s Day is here, and whether you like it or hate it you can’t help but notice it.
Here are some links to get you through today; and hopefully a few will make you chuckle at the least.
For Single Men:
Stop Hanging Out With Women and Start Dating Them - I almost left a comment, but felt like I was intruding on poker night. A must-read for young guys.
For Men in a Relationship:
Cracking the Valentine’s Day Code - Find out what “don’t get me anything” means to a woman… you still have time to change your Valentine’s day gift before dinner tonight…
For Single Women:
Advice For Valentine’s Day - “You can choose to be miserable tomorrow – or you can adopt my strategy and have a pretty fun (and memorable) day.” This sounds like the best idea ever.
For Women In a Relationship:
A Manly Gift for Valentine’s Day - Malt Whiskey Chocolates… what else? The guys I work with love this stuff… and I bet your guy would too.
I’m not doing anything special today, but what the hey: cute little cherubs dressed in loincloths never hurt anyone. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi! I'm Monica O'Brien and I created this website in January 2008 as a place for twentysomething professionals who wanted to be a part of a personal and professional development community. Now, I've joined forces with the Brazen Careerist team to meet this goal on a larger scale. I continue to maintain this blog as a place to talk about what I'm learning as I tackle marriage, a start-up, and graduate school.

Single another Valentine’s Day……I will continue to live like my favorite princess, Princess Bubble. She learns true happiness come from helping others and liking who you are. Buy this book for yourself if you need a little treat to make you happy!

*sigh. I’m horrible at Valentines (last year we called it ValenWeen cause we found it too cheesy so we just had another Halloween).
All I do is get in trouble for being a let-down. Is making a big breakfast not enough?!

Haha. Thanks guys. My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s day, but I like the ideas. It can be a day of disappointment for many people, but if you change your mindset about the day it can also be a lot of fun. Today I got flowers from the doorman at my job - little stuff like that makes the day just a bit sweeter.
