FAQs

1.  When will my article appear on Twenty Set?

Each article must be approved by an editor.  The editor may need to edit the article before posting, which takes time.  If an article is not accepted, an editor will e-mail the writer with suggestions and feedback.

2.  Why wasn’t my article accepted?

The goal of Twenty Set is to create a knowledge set for people in their 20’s who want to achieve success in all aspects of their lives.  Our readers make us accountable to only publish useful, quality content from authors who have the experiences or credentials to write on a particular subject.  Because of this, not every article will be a good fit in terms of content, tone, and quality.  You will receive more personalized feedback on why your article wasn’t accepted through the email address with which you registered.

3.  How do I become an editor?

The easiest way to become an editor is to first get your articles published on Twenty Set.  This demonstrates you understand the audience and tone of this website and you are invested in the success of Twenty Set.  Once you have a good number of quality articles and have gained a decent following, contact Monica at m {@} twentyset {.} com to express your interest in becoming an editor.

4.  How do I get my own column at Twenty Set?

To get a column at Twenty Set you need two things: a great idea and a proven track record.  Great ideas are topics that fit Twenty Set in terms of quality, content, and tone, but that Twenty Set does not currently write about.  A proven track record is when an author consistently writes quality articles on one subject of interest or expertise.  Columnists at Twenty Set are held accountable for regularly updating their section on a self-imposed schedule. Write to Monica at m {@} twentyset {.} com to express your interest in a column at Twenty Set.

5.  Are there paid positions at Twenty Set?

The short answer is No.  The long answer is the benefits listed above far outweigh any amount of money we could offer you to write for us.  If you are looking for a way to pay the bills, consider starting your own monetized blog and using our contributor process to generate interest and drive traffic.
