Contest Week Wrap-Up
Hi! Welcome to Twenty Set. Here you will find 4-5 new articles every week about personal and professional development written specifically for the young professional. If you like what you read, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Just a few admin items to wrap up the week, for anyone who’s still around and not on holiday.
I ran a contest this week that career coach JT O’Donnell sponsored, and I have to say I think it went over really well. Thanks again JT, and for anyone who still wants to enter, you can comment on any of the following posts by 11:59pm today (Fri, Mar 21st):
- Find Your Career Path - the original contest post, prizes listed at the bottom
- Twenty Set Redesign
- Entrepreneur Life vs. Corporate Life - Jun Loayza
- Don’t Think You’re Valuable? Think Again - Ryan Paugh
- The Power of 80/20 - Matt Burns and Jon Arnold
- Because Where You Live Matters
- this post counts too!
Also, I wanted to again thank the four guys who wrote posts this week. The posts far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and the conversations generated in the comments sections. I also especially enjoyed having male writers because the experience and tone they brought was so different than my own. My husband recently commented that my blog was too “girly,” which irritated me at the time, but now I think he is probably right. The guys seemed to bring out a different set of commenters that I’ve never interacted with before, and I think this is awesome.
A few other people have expressed interest in doing a guest post, so I’m still accepting them. I’ll be accepting them on a rolling basis, though I’ll probably only post one per week from here on out.
I’m still doing some sort of website tweaking next week, though I haven’t thought much about it since Monday with everything else going on this week. Still taking suggestions!
Finally, thanks to everyone for their patience this week. I’ve been trying to respond to emails and comments throughout the week, but I still have a lot of catching up to do… which will probably happen after my last final, which is tonight :).
Have a great weekend!

Monica,
It was my pleasure to contribute to your site. I absolutely love everything that you are doing and I look forward to contributing more. Glad that I could bring a “male” perspective on things.
Good luck on your finals!
